About the Company

On behalf of our client, a well-established and fully regulated international brokerage firm specialising in Capital Markets and CFDs, we are seeking an experienced Media Buyer to join its marketing department in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The company operates across multiple international markets, providing access to a wide range of financial instruments through advanced trading technology and professional financial services.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimising paid media campaigns across programmatic advertising, native platforms, display networks, financial publishers, trading portals, and sponsorship channels.

The role focuses on developing profitable media partnerships, diversifying acquisition channels, and delivering measurable results through effective budget management, vendor negotiations, and performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and manage relationships with advertising networks, publishers, trading portals, and media partners.

  • Plan and execute programmatic, display, native, and retargeting campaigns using platforms such as DV360, The Trade Desk, AdRoll, StackAdapt, Taboola, and Outbrain.

  • Negotiate direct advertising agreements with financial media publishers and trading communities across European markets.

  • Develop and test new acquisition channels, establishing clear performance targets and optimisation strategies.

  • Monitor campaign effectiveness, traffic quality, brand safety, and invalid traffic to ensure efficient advertising expenditure.

  • Collaborate with Marketing Operations to track registrations, live trading accounts, first-time deposits (FTDs), and acquisition costs.

  • Coordinate advertising creatives, formats, and placements while ensuring compliance with applicable financial advertising regulations.

  • Manage campaign budgets, monitor spending, reconcile publisher invoices, and recommend budget reallocations based on performance.

  • Maintain vendor performance scorecards and regularly review advertising partnerships to improve return on investment.

  • Prepare performance reports and provide recommendations for scaling successful acquisition channels.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in media buying, including direct media purchasing and programmatic advertising.

  • Previous experience within Capital Markets, CFD brokerage, Fintech, or another performance-driven regulated financial services industry is highly preferred.

  • Proven experience negotiating media agreements based on CPM, CPA, and hybrid pricing models.

  • Hands-on experience with at least one major Demand-Side Platform (DSP) and one native advertising platform.

  • Strong understanding of campaign attribution, conversion tracking, audience targeting, and incremental performance measurement.

  • Knowledge of financial advertising requirements and restrictions applicable to CFD products within the UK and EU markets.

  • Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills, including experience reconciling advertising platform and CRM performance data.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and commercial decision-making skills.

  • Advanced English proficiency (C1 or above).

  • Availability to work full-time from the company's offices in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Additional Advantages

  • German and/or Italian language proficiency at C1 level.

  • Experience with mobile app acquisition campaigns and attribution platforms such as AppsFlyer.

  • Familiarity with affiliate marketing, Introducing Broker (IB) models, and CPA-based partnerships.

  • Experience managing sponsorship advertising and financial media partnerships.
